Webinar Date: Thursday, January 6
Time: 1:00 pm
Speakers:  Dr. Wendong Zhang, Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University and Leading Researcher of the Annual Iowa Land Value Survey

Land values in Iowa have been rising and are breaking records. What are the factors behind the trend?  What factors could change the trend?  Dr. Wendong Zhang, associate professor in the Department of Economics at Iowa State University and leading researcher of the Annual Iowa Land Value Survey will be the speaker in this webinar on January 6 at 1:00 pm.

Dr. Zhang will presented the factors driving land values, review the recent results of the 2021 Annual ISU Land Value Survey and talked about the broad view of land price trends.  Unique to this research is that farmland values are reported at the county level.  The survey is intended to provide information on general land value trends, geographical land price relationships, and factors influencing the Iowa land market.   Historical info about Iowa land values since 1950 can be found at the ISU CARD Farmland Portal.
