Iowa Farm Bureau is teaming up with Flying Hippo to offer a two-part Marketing + Branding Workshop series that will help develop marketing and branding plans for farms or ag businesses. Participants will learn how to create a brand that will make their business stand out from the pack and how to develop digital and social strategies that will get the business noticed. The workshop series takes place Dec. 7-8, 2023, and Jan. 11-12, 2024, at The Monroe event venue at 1805 90th St. in West Des Moines.

The first workshop on Dec. 7-8 is “Creating a Spotted Zebra Brand – Brand Insights for the Entrepreneurial Farmer.” Participants will gain insights into developing their own “Spotted Zebra” brand — one that will stand out from the pack of sameness found in every market segment. Highly interactive and filled with exercises, participants will learn the fundamental principles that all great brands utilize.

The second workshop is “Let’s Go to Market – Marketing Insights for the Entrepreneurial Farmer” Jan. 11-12.  The workshop will help participants understand the principles of marketing with an emphasis on digital and social strategies that are critical for success for any modern entrepreneur. Insights gained will enable participants to formulate go-to-market strategies.
