After Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico five years ago, Farm Bureau noticed that most federal aid for agriculture was going to larger farms, American Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall said last week during his keynote speech at the 104th AFBF annual convention in Puerto Rico.

“We stepped up to lend a hand and advocate for our family here, and aid started flowing to all farms — large and small,” Duvall said. “Across the island, farmers saw what Farm Bureau could do. They saw the value that Farm Bureau brings. Since then, Puerto Rico Farm Bureau membership has more than doubled.”
