Iowa Farm Bureau awards (54) $1,000 scholarships annually to students pursuing the completion of a two or four-year college degree pursuing a major in agriculture, nursing or education (please read over the detailed list of eligible majors under #7 of the Eligibility Guidelines, page 6 of the application). The 2017 deadline to submit your IFBF Scholarship application to your county Farm Bureau office is March 1, 2017. The Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher Supplement Grants, funded by the Iowa Farm Bureau, are administered by the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation. The grants are available to teachers who seek to initiate new projects or expand existing projects that promote ag literacy.
Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded annually to encourage students and residents to pursue a medical career in rural Iowa communities with populations less than 10,000, after graduating from an Iowa family medicine residency program.
