The Iowa Farm Service Agency (FSA) reminds farmers that July 15 is the acreage reporting deadline for all crops, including Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land.

Farmers must file timely acreage reports to maintain farm program eligibility and benefits. Failure to file an acreage report by the crop acreage reporting deadline may cause ineligibility for future program benefits.

Farmers can access their FSA farm records, maps and common land units through the farmers.gov customer portal. Acreage reports using precision agriculture planting boundaries can be filed electronically with an approved insurance provider or an authorized third-party provider, who will then share the file with FSA staff. Farmers should contact their local USDA Service Center with any questions about acreage reporting requirements.
