The U.S. Department of Ag­­riculture (USDA) an­nounced almost 4.85 million metric tons (MMT) of U.S. corn sales to China last week, which adds up to about 230 million bushels, for delivery in the 2020-21 marketing year. 

Market advisors note the sales are a strong sign that China’s demand remains robust as it rebuilds its swine herd. U.S. corn shipments to China have been mostly strong for the past several weeks, Agri-Pulse reported last week.
