Monitoring global demand
We are starting to see a shift in market focus on commodities. Until now, all interest on the domestic side has been on production of the U.S. corn and soybean crops.

This is especially the case given the tight stocks-to-use ratio for both corn and soybeans. In the past few weeks, this focus has changed, though, as demand has become more of a factor in price discovery.

This doesn't remove all attention on U.S. weather conditions but does start to lessen its impact.

When it comes to commodity demand, all attention remains on China. China has been the leading importer of U.S. commodities, but in recent months, this has started to change.
