The 2019 U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) trade assistance package, which will provide payments to Iowa crop farmers ranging from $79 per acre in Cherokee County to $40 per acre in Allamakee County, will help mitigate the financial effects of the trade battles with China and other countries, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President Craig Hill said last week.
