Due to coronavirus concerns, USDA Service Centers will continue to be open for business by phone appointment only and field work will continue with appropriate social distancing. While FSA and NRCS program delivery staff at the Service Centers will continue to come into the office at most locations, they will be working with producers by phone, and using online tools whenever possible. Two Iowa offices - Boone and Jasper - are not currently able to serve farmers at their office locations. All who want to conduct business at any office - whether it’s business with USDA, a state Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship employee, or soil district staffer - should call ahead before visiting their office.
Producers can find their Service Center’s phone number at this link. Additional updated information about USDA NRCS and FSA operations can be found at this link: https://www.farmers.gov/coronavirus.
