Iowa cattle inventory continues lower
Cattle and calves on feed for the slaughter market in the United States, in feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head, totaled 11.3 million head on July 1, according to the latest data published last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The inventory was slightly above July 1, 2021, and down 4% compared to the June 1 inventory.
