Five more outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) were reported on farms in Iowa last week.

According to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS), a turkey farm in Buena Vista County experienced an outbreak break Oct. 31, resulting in the loss of 30,000 birds.

A breeding chicken flock in Hamilton County reported an outbreak on Nov. 3, and included the loss of about 15,000 birds.
