Iowa lawmakers, along with U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, pledged at the recent Iowa Ag Summit to craft a farm bill which will provide a strong safety net for farmers. They also said they would continue working to break down trade barriers around the world to increase U.S. ag exports and farm income and to strengthen the state’s biofuels sector.
