Traders eye impact of EPA's biofuel decision
As farmers in the U.S. continue making harvest preparations and begin getting into fields, farmers on the other side of the equator in Brazil and Argentina are just getting started with planting their 2025-26 crops and have their growing season dead ahead.
While harvest and crop sizes have continued to rightfully dominate most ag market chatter in recent weeks, some forward-thinking traders have quietly begun to look at what’s next, and a lot of them are turning their attention to demand.
On one hand is exports, which have been decent to this point in the marketing year for both corn and soybeans despite China’s continued absence. The other hand is domestic use, which is where we are going to focus today.
