Trump Vows New Tariffs on Canada, Mexico

We’ve spent a lot of time the past several weeks discussing global trade developments and are going to continue that theme this week.

As the days tick down to Trump’s return to the White House in January, there continues to be numerous policy discussions happening.

The president-elect said online last week that one of his first moves upon taking office will be to sign all the necessary documents requiring both Canada and Mexico to pay a 25% tariff rate on all imports coming into the U.S.

The posts also mentioned “an additional 10% tariff, above any additional tariffs” on goods coming into the country from China.
