U.S. beef imports already on the rise

In America, the term "farmer" isn't just a one-size-fits-all title and doesn't describe just one type of person. Google the word, and you'll find dozens of images that, in most cases, look nothing like the one before it, and even less like the one after it.

Pictures show old men in expansive, 100-acre fields harvesting commercial row crops; they show women and children in small gardens harvesting fruits and vegetables and other specialty crops; and they show families of all shapes and sizes in pastures and barns tending to animals and livestock.
