The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) last week joined with other farm groups, representatives of the food sector and environmental organizations to recommend farmer-centered policies to guide the development of federal climate policy.

The group, called the Food and Agriculture Cli­­mate Alliance (FACA), made 40 recommenda­tions that are based on three key principals: ag­­ricultural climate policy must be built on voluntary, incentive-based pro­­­grams; it must promote resilience and ad­aptation in agriculture and rural communities; and the policies must be science-based.
