Young Farmer Chair Zac Preston hopes to inspire his peers to embrace the uniqueness of farming and share its value with others.
Iowa’s young farmers are called on to ensure the next generation of agriculturalists has the tools, resources and support necessary to thrive in a dynamic and ever-evolving profession.
That was the message Zac Preston, chair of the Iowa Farm Bureau Young Farmer Advisory Committee, delivered last week during the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation’s annual meeting in Des Moines.
“Each of us shoulders a crucial part in this tapestry of agriculture, and I challenge all of you to consider how you can take pride” in this distinct way of life, said Preston.
