In anticipation of harvest, farmers need the latest information on regulations and exemptions that apply to them as they transport their crops. As part of Iowa Farm Bureau’s Margin Management Series, a live webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 1 at 1:00 p.m. Webinar participants will receive valuable information regarding registrations and licensing of farm vehicles, pre-trip Inspections, cargo securement, vehicle weight, requirements with lights & flashers, and much more. In addition, the webinar will include Commercial Vehicle information and rules.

This unique opportunity to learn and ask questions via text during the webinar can be a valuable resource for farmers. “Farmers need the latest information on transportation regulations and equipment issues, especially in preparation for harvest,” said Ed Kordick, IFBF commodity services manager. “We invited Officer Wittkowski to share the latest information with members to ensure they are up to date on transportation regulations and exemptions in advance of harvest and increased agricultural traffic.”

The webinar will provide the opportunity for participants to ask questions.
