USDA cheese purchase reduces massive supplies
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) last week announced plans to purchase about 11 million pounds of cheese to help food banks and pantries across the nation. The department’s action will reduce a national cheese surplus that is at its highest level in three decades.
