Tree windbreaks help livestock farms in a number of ways

Since 2009, more than 66,000 trees have been planted on Iowa livestock farms through the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF) Green Farmstead Partner Program (GFP). To further highlight the value of planting trees on livestock farms, CSIF recently hosted a first-of-its-kind Green Farmstead Partner workshop at Frazier Nursery near Vinton.
