Time to scout for insects as corn planting speeds ahead

Zero to 60 in 5.4. That is my estimate of corn planting progress in central Iowa — we went from zero acres planted to 60 percent planted in about 5.4 days, putting us on track to complete corn planting in just nine days.
This spring was not late; it was simply delayed, and there is a big difference between late versus delayed.
A late start implies that the weather was warm...
