The United States and Japan have a long relationship, and the products Iowa and the United States export to the country are important, Iowa Farm Bureau members learned on their trip to the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C.

"Ag products are one of the most important products between the U.S. and Japan," said Hiroaki Kojima, counselor at the Embassy of Japan.

And without corn and soybeans from the United States, "our beef and hog production cannot continue," Kojima said.
