Iowa biofuel leaders pledged to seek a solution that allows E15 sales to continue this summer after the Environmental Protection Agency  (EPA) last week proposed a rule to allow year-round E15 in Iowa and seven other Midwest states, but to delay implementation until next April.

“This delayed implementation still leaves uncertainty for the next 14 months and requires additional action,” said Iowa Farm Bureau President Brent Johnson.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds said she plans to request another emergency waiver to allow E15 sales to continue this summer and is looking at legal options to require the administration to grant the request immediately.
