Story City Locker last week welcomed Sen. Charles Grassley and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig to its facility in Story City, as the small meat processor celebrated its designation as the first Iowa business certified for the Cooperative Interstate Shipment (CIS) program.

Under the CIS program, small­er, state-inspected meat lockers can remain under state inspection but can apply a federal-style mark of inspection and sell products across state lines.
