With a potential record harvest forecast this fall, Page County Farm Bureau member Justin Dammann says temporary plastic grain bags offer a solution for farmers looking for additional grain storage.

“Today is the perfect year to get started bagging,” said Dammann, a sixth-generation farmer in southwest Iowa who serves as a dealer for Richiger baggers, unloaders and grain bags, among other products. “There’s just all kinds of reasons” to give it a try, he said.

Grain storage bags — flexible plastic tubes that hold thousands of bushels of grain in the field — minimize stress and maximize profits, offering farmers an efficient way to navigate harvest, logistically one of the most challenging times of the year, Dammann said.
