Mexico strikes back against U.S. tariffs

Mexico reacted swiftly to tariffs imposed by the United States last week as trade talks between the two countries faltered, specifically targeting agricultural products including pork.

Canada also threatened to retaliate after the Trump administration said it was following through with previously discussed tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada and Mexico. The tariffs had been delayed while officials worked on renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
