Markets for carbon continue to develop

The market for selling carbon and other environmental credits continues to develop, but challenges and cautions for farmers still exist, according to Shelby Myers, an economist with the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF).
“There is the potential for these emerging markets to continue to enhance farmers’ income, reduce input costs and help offset the cost of adopting conservation practices,” Myers said during an educational session at the 2022 AFBF annual meeting in Atlanta.
