Crops perked up after nearly 3 inches of rain fell over 10 days early this month. “The crops on good ground look good after getting that rain,” Kooiker said July 22. However, crops on lighter ground were starting to show stress again after warm and windy conditions last week, he said. Fungicides are going on corn, and rootworm pressure is building in corn-on-corn fields.
