Hofland said corn that was planted two weeks ago has sprouted but should be safe from cold temperatures that settled in over the weekend. He had 0.5 to 0.75 inch of rain last week, which will keep planters out of fields for a bit. “We’ve got our nitrogen on and groundwork done, so when it dries back up we can start planting again,” said Hofland, who has a 50-50 corn-soybean rotation.Joe Roberts - Wright County
