Farm groups last week cheered approval of a “once in a generation” infrastructure bill that provides billions of dollars in new funding for roads, waterways and broadband that will enhance the competitiveness of U.S. farmers and benefit rural communities. 

The legislation provides nearly $550 billion in new spending over the next five years, including $110 billion for roads and bridges, $65 billion for broadband and $17 billion for ports and inland waterways.
