ISU leading effort on antimicrobial resistance

Iowa State University (ISU) will host a new National Institute for Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education. The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities and the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges chose Iowa State University to lead the institute, which will use a ‘One Health’ approach to tackle the antimicrobial resistance problem.
One Health is a rising approach in healthcare that involves veterinarians, physicians and other scientific experts working closely together to achieve the best health for people, animals, and the environment.
