Hog inventory keeps climbing

The U.S. inventory of all hogs and pigs on June 1, 2018, was 73.5 million head, up 3.4 percent from last year and up 1 percent from March 1, 2018. This is the highest June 1 inventory of all hogs and pigs since estimates began in 1964, USDA said.
There were 22.6 million hogs and pigs in Iowa as of June 1, the USDA reported. This was up 5 percent from 2017.
