Farmers, lawmakers push for flood control


An Iowa farmer, along with the state’s two U.S. senators, last week pushed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to change its Missouri River policies to prioritize flood control to help prevent severe flooding that devastated southwest Iowa this spring and continues to cause problems for agriculture and rural communities.
