The frustration farmers are expressing about biofuel de­mand destruction caused by waivers given to oil refineries is being heard loud and clear in the White House, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Under Secretary Bill Northey said at a roundtable with Iowa farmers last week.

"There’s an awareness that those waivers did some real damage to renewable fuels," Northey said at the Becks Hy­­brids seed distribution facility in Colfax. He said President Donald Trump has been meeting with top advisors to figure out a way to boost renewable fuel usage.
