Congress’ decision to extend solar and wind energy tax credits for five years is good news for Iowa energy development, according to wind and solar experts.

"There is tremendous room for growth in wind energy in the state of Iowa," says John Boorman, vice president of the Iowa Wind Energy Association.

"Right now we’re probably in the single digits as far as the percent of wind energy we could harness, so the industry could easily grow by a factor of 20 just based on current technology."
