EPA identified mitigation measures for atrazine — This map shows watersheds where farmers would be required to earn mitigation points to apply atrazine under an EPA proposed rule. Purple-shaded areas, which indicate predicted atrazine concentrations of 9.7 to 45.4 parts per billion, would require applicators to achieve three additional mitigation points. Green-shaded areas, indicating predicted concentrations above 45.4 parts per billion, would require six mitigation points.
