China moves on biotech approvals
Enlist E3 soybeans were approved for import by China last week, clearing the way for full commercial production in the United States and offering growers another tool in the battle against herbicide-resistant weeds

China’s agriculture ministry last week gave the green light to imports of five new biotech crop traits, including a long-awaited approval of Enlist E3 soybeans.

The approvals, the first biotech traits to be cleared by China in more than 18 months, were announced while a U.S. trade delegation was in China to discuss resolution of trade issues between the two countries.
