Update from Brazil as planting begins
As harvest in the U.S. gets rolling, on the other side of the world in Brazil, planting of the 2024-25 crop is getting underway. This week, we’re going to give a bit of a big-picture update on the South American country and dive into its ag outlook for the coming season.  

Arguably, the most important factor going into any new growing season is weather, which is where we’ll start in Brazil.

Current weather in September has been a bit of a mixed bag. Temperatures have been mostly above average, especially in the south, while 30-day precipitation anomalies in these areas show places that have received as little as 10% of normal rainfall.
