Jake Kraayenbrink uprooted his family and a successful business from Canada to relocate in Iowa, where he sees vast potential for his innovative on-the-go tire inflation and deflation system.

Kraayenbrink says the technology addresses a critical issue in farming by reducing problems caused by soil compaction, which significantly impacts crop yields. The system allows farmers to control tire pressure of machines and implements from the cab, offering the potential for improved soil health, increased yields and reduced fuel consumption.

Soil compaction occurs when the weight of heavy machinery compresses the soil, reducing pore space and hindering root penetration, Kraayenbrink explains. That leads to reduced water infiltration, erosion and crusting, which negatively affects yields.
