Farm organizations and Iowa lawmakers last week applauded the Biden administration’s plan to nominate Elaine Trevino of California to be the next chief agriculture negotiator for the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).
The USTR post, which has been vacant since the Biden administration took office, is the key advocate for U.S. agriculture in international trade negotiations.
