Here in Iowa, agriculture is the foundation of our economy. It is our heritage. It provides jobs and economic security to many hardworking folks across our state and allows us to help feed and fuel the rest of the nation and world.

I am honored to bring the voice of Iowa agriculture to the table in Congress, as a member of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture. Through this role, I have protected the federal crop insurance program, opposing Congress’ and the administration’s effort to cut it in their annual budget request.
