Water quality, renewable energy among Branstad’s priorities for 2016
Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad made agriculture a central theme in his condition of the state address last week, outlining plans to increase funding for water quality and expand Iowa’s leading position in renewable energy production.
The governor also acknowledged that a slumping farm economy has hurt state revenue, forcing a tight state budget.
