Farmers now have the details and decision tools needed to help them sign up for the farm bill’s new risk management programs, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said last week.

Enrollment in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) or Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs could begin as early as this week, although Vilsack emphasized that most farmers will probably take several months to decide which program is right for their business.
