Despite difficult growing conditions in Iowa and other parts of the Corn Belt, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) last week bumped up yields and production for the 2019 growing season. 

U.S. corn production for 2019 was estimated at 13.69 billion bushels, up 31 million from the December estimate. Soybean production was estimated at 3.56 billion bushels, up 8 million from December.
