U.S.-China trade war escalates
Trade threats became reality last week as the United States officially implemented $34 billion in tariffs on Chinese goods, part of the Trump administration’s effort to curb China’s theft of U.S. technology and intellectual property.
China responded immediately, as it said it would, targeting U.S. agriculture with retaliatory tariffs, including a 25 percent tariff on soybeans.
