AFBF President Zippy Duvall garnered the lead quote in “Top U.S. Farm Group Warns Against Upending NAFTA,” a Bloomberg article.
Noted Bloomberg, “‘We can’t sit aside while other countries work out trade deals among themselves,’ Zippy Duvall, president of the American Farm Bureau Federation in Washington, said in a conference call announcing the group is joining of Farmers for Free Trade, an umbrella group of agricultural organizations and agribusiness promoting exports.”
The announcement was made during a press conference Tuesday October 10, 2017 that included Duvall, Kansas Farm Bureau President Rich Felts, former Sens. Max Baucus and Richard Lugar, and Farmers for Free Trade Board President Sara Lilygren. Baucus and Lugar co-chair Farmers for Free Trade, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and expanding the economic benefits of free trade for American farmers and ranchers.
