Tax extenders first order of business after break

Tax extenders were one of the first orders of business as Congress returned to Washington, D.C., last week for its lame-duck session.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5771, the Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014, on a 378 to 45 vote. The bill retroactively renews a package of expired tax breaks for one year.
