Congress needs to conduct a series of listening sessions with farmers in Iowa and around the country to find ways to improve the farm safety net in the upcoming farm bill discussions, Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts and Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley said last week at a press conference at the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) headquarters in West Des Moines.
