Coming off a record year for farmland sales, Farmers National Company Senior Vice President Randy Dickhut foresees strong demand and prices continuing into 2022, even with more farms coming onto the market.

“The supply for sale is larger, but it’s not over the top too much. It’s just moderately more,” he said. “Demand is still good, the commodity price outlook is favorable at this time (and) low interest rates are here for a while (based on) all the predictions. If any of those things change, then that will start to change the outlook for land prices.”
