U.S. pork exports could be on the cusp of recording another record year in 2020, possibly beating 2019’s record year by as much as 20%, according to Dan Halstrom, CEO of the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF).

Halstrom gave an update on meat exports and the USMEF’s work around the globe during the annual Pork Forum, held last week in Kansas City.

Pork exports totaled about $7 billion in 2019. Halstrom sees that rising to $8.4 billion in 2020.
